The Replacement Lens Foot from Kirk connects directly to the lens collar mount and locks into place with four stainless steel screws and the included T-hex wrench. The lens foot is specifically designed for the Canon 300mm f/2.8 IS II USM and 400mm f/4 DO IS II USM Lenses and is compatible with most Arca-type clamps and heads. The double-dovetail design allows other Arca-type accessories to attach to the bottom or the top of the foot, and the 6061-T6 aluminum foot has a black anodized finish, which makes it resistant against scratches and corrosion.
