The McDSP APB-8 Thunderbolt Upgrade Kit replaces the original Thunderbolt 2 interface on older APB-8 units with a Thunderbolt 3 interface. (Newer APB-8 units already include Thunderbolt 3 connectivity.) This upgrade uses the now-standard USB-C connector and delivers twice the bandwidth of the original Thunderbolt 2 interface, enhancing the overall performance of your APB hardware. Please note: this upgrade does not add any additional analog channels or analog processing capabilities.
