The FotodioX Nikon F-Mount Pro Lens Adapter with Aperture Control for Nikon 1 Cameras is a high quality adapter that allows you to mount a Nikon F-Mount mount lens to a Nikon 1 digital camera body. It features a brass construction with a stainless steel finish as well as the ability to focus to infinity. This works with a leaf spring system for a secure attachment of the lens to the adapter. For Nikon F-mount, G-type lenses that lack a means to adjust apertures on the lens body itself, the Nikon F-Mount Pro Lens Adapter with Aperture Control for Nikon 1 Cameras provides an aperture-control ring that couples with a compatible lens's aperture mechanism so that adjustments to brightness, as well as depth-of-field, can be made. That adapter aperture-ring can also be used alternatingly with a non-G type, Nikon F-mount lens's own aperture-control ring. Although the lens will fit physically, automatic lens control and functions will not operate correctly while using this adapter. You can utilize aperture priority mode in combination with stop-down metering for automatic exposure control on your camera.
