Use the Palmer RIVER main 2-Channel Passive Line Merger to merge two stereo line-level signals into one stereo line-level output pair without commonly occurring ground-loop hum and buzz. Typical applications are the merging of two mixers to one power amplifier or audio interface, or mixing a mono signal from a stereo signal. RIVER main features a simple and reliable passive design that delivers a low noise floor and a neutral sound, while requiring no battery. It utilizes galvanic-isolation technology via its two large transformers to handle high-level signals up to +20 dBu without distortion. Engineered in Germany and built to last, the unit is virtually indestructible thanks to its rugged, aluminum-and-steel casing and reinforced connectors.Connections Input 1A / 1B: balanced line inputs with female XLR 3-pin connectors. The audio signals of Input 1A and Input 1B are summed mono and output at the Output 1 output.Input 2A / 2B: balanced line inputs with female XLR 3-pin connectors. The audio signals of Input 2A and Input 2B are summed mono and output at the Output 2 output.Output 1 / 2: balanced line outputs with male XLR 3-pin connectors. Use balanced audio cables to connect the summing unit to the balanced inputs of a mixing console or audio interface.It is possible to input unbalanced signals and still output balanced signals.Switchable Ground Lifts Use the two ground-lift switches to disconnect the ground connections from the inputs and outputs and further eliminate hum loops.
