The QXP-1600eS-A1164 Expansion Card from QNAP lets you expand the storage capacity of their TL Series JBOD storage enclosures that support SATA drives. Compatible with Windows, Linux, QTS, and QuTS hero OS, this host bus adapter connects to your host system using its PCIe 3.0 x8 interface. Once installed, it uses a separately sold SFF-8088 or SFF-8644 cable to connect to a TL Series JBOD. Up to sixteen SATA III 6 Gb/s drives are supported, as each internal SFF-8644 connector supports four drives. Thanks to a low-profile form factor, this adapter is compatible with a wide range of NAS devices, computers, and servers.Supports QNAP NAS and Windows/Ubuntu PCs Each internal SFF-8088 or SFF-8644 connector on the QXP-1600eS-A1164 supports up to four SATA drives. A QXP-1600eS-A1164 can be installed based on the number of drives you want to connect for storage expansion. For example, a QXP-1600eS-A1164 can be connected to a 16-bay desktop TL-D1600S JBOD enclosure or a 12-bay rackmount TL-R1200S-RP JBOD enclosure.
