Remote Audio has made a device useful for engineers working in the field with their MDR7506HSS-S, a modified Sony MDR-7506 headset with an electret boom mic wired into a TA5F connection for talkbalk. The headset is powered by 5 to 24V Phantom power, straight from your connected field recorder. The microphone features a flexible gooseneck, which allows precise positioning for clear vocal pickup. The around-ear cushions provide comfort and noise isolation, blocking out unwanted environmental noise. The single-sided straight cable measures 6' in length, terminating in a TA5F 5-pin mini-XLR connector compatible with devices such as the Sound Devices Scorpio.
