Resurrecting the legendary '80s-era SDE-3000 rackmounted digital delay in a compact pedal form factor, the SDE-3 from BOSS sports the vintage digital character of its inspiration while offering modern control and creative potential. With the unique Offset feature, you can create unusual delays with an adjustable secondary delay line.The SDE-3 sports intuitive Level, Feedback, and Time controls, as well as Depth and Rate for hands-on modulation. Hi Cut can be used to tame high frequencies for further sonic refinement. Designed for a diversity of workflows and signal chains, the SDE-3 supports stereo features like panning or discrete stereo delay and multiple output modes, including Stereo, Wet/Dry, and Dry Mute. The pedal can attain a maximum delay time of 800 ms in stereo or an epic 1600 ms in mono. Connectivity is versatile, including stereo 1/4" I/O, a 1/4" footswitch/expression pedal input, and a 3.5mm TRS MIDI input for syncing your delays. Or, tweak the Time and High Cut controls to conjure moody, atmospheric tonalities for ambient, chill, and lo-fi music.Offset Magic Along with reproducing the SDE-3000's famous mono sound, the SDE-3 includes a powerful Offset feature to create interesting tones with two simultaneous delays. With one simple control, you can instantly add a second delay to the primary delay for a wealth of mono and stereo colors.Doubled Delays: Turning the Offset knob up to its center position introduces a second delay line that's 1 to 100 ms longer than the primary delay. Coupled with the SDE-3's Time, Feedback, and Rate controls, you can craft deep delay tones unavailable to typical delay pedals.Timed Dual Delays: In the second half of its range, the Offset knob produces a shorter second delay that's based on the primary delay time. The tap tempo can be used to determine the 1/4 note value. By sweeping the second delay's time between 1/8th and dotted 1/8th note subdivisions, a variety of rhythmic FX can be synced with your music.
