The SS-CS3M2 3-Way Floor-Standing Speaker from Sony is a passive speaker for connecting to your AV receiver. This speaker includes rigid dual 5.12" woofers for dynamic bass, along with a 0.98" tweeter and a 0.75" super tweeter designed for wide dispersion of high-frequency sounds. A ported, all-wood enclosure helps to dampen vibrations and optimize sound. Pair two SS-CS3M2 speakers together for stereo sound or to use as the foundation of a CS series surround sound system.3-Way Speaker Configuration Each speaker includes two 5.12" woofers for low to mid-frequency sounds. Utilizing a reinforced cellular cone diaphragm, it delivers powerful bass along with the finer detail needed for clear vocals and dialog in the mid-range.The 0.98" soft dome main tweeter features polyester fiber for a more faithful, authentic sound. Precise acoustic tuning with advanced sound-absorbing felt eliminates rear sound pressure from the tweeters to ensure natural-sounding vocals. The 0.75" wide dispersion super tweeter with wide directionality reproduces high-frequency notes across an expansive soundstage.Reinforced Cellular Cone Many speakers use paper cones that flex and deteriorate over time, leading to a more distorted sound. Reinforced cellular cone woofers are rigid, holding their shape even when moving at high pressure and speed, so you can drive the bass harder without compromising audio quality.
