The MK 2XS capsule's considerable, high-frequency-response elevation above 3 kHz (at 0 ) compensates for high-frequency-response losses and delivers a flat frequency-response in the diffuse sound field. If used near a sound source, the sound is brilliant. The MK 2XS is usually used as a room microphone beyond the reverberation radius in larger rooms. To ensure accurate stereo capture in any application, the two capsules are factory-matched for frequency response and sensitivity.
