The Kipper Tie Strata PL-ND Bolt-On PL Mount with Integrated Optical ND mounts on the front of your RED V-RAPTOR camera using the four captive stainless steel 1/4"-20 mounting screws. This attaches the PL mount securely without using the camera's RF mount, providing a secure and solid mounting platform for virtually any PL lens. Four 1/4"-20 threaded accessory threads along the top of the mount and one ARRI anti-twist accessory mount on each side of the Strata mount make it simple to add a variety of optional accessories to your setup.This mount includes four optical filters Clear, ND0.3, ND0.6, and ND0.9 and a mechanical apparatus that allows for near-instantaneous switching of the filters. The rugged locking ring features dual asymmetrical tabs for enhanced grip, facilitating easier finger tightening and loosening. Each tab can be repositioned or removed as desired. The Strata comes pre-shimmed, and the included shim set can be used to adjust the collimation as needed.Mechanical Filters The movement of the filters is purely mechanical. No motors or electronics to fail, no firmware compatibility to worry about. The design provides positive locking for each filter stage to prevent accidental intrusion or movement of the filters under vibration or rough handling.ND System The ND system uses pure optical glass filters, uniquely allowing an immediate switch between filters. As these are behind the lens filters, there is no effect on bokeh rendition. Strata's optical filters are matched for aspect ratio and size to the V-RAPTOR VV sensor.
