SV II 42-10

Kowa

With a magnification-objective lens configuration favored by outdoor enthusiasts and outfitted with a wide field of view and generous eye relief, the Kowa 10x42 SV II Binoculars provides reliable performance from dawn through dusk and in all weather conditions. To deliver its performance, Kowa employs anti-reflection fully multi-coated optics, phase-correction prism coatings, and oil-resistant exterior lens coatings that work together to keep the lenses clean and produce crisp, clear, and bright high-contrast images with accurate color representation. Added to this performance is a wide angle of view that allows you to see wide swaths of the landscape before you without having to turn your head while also reducing the appearance of the distracting hand shake often associated with holding high-power optics such as these.Complementing the optical performance are construction details that make this binocular durable and comfortable to use. It has a lightweight polycarbonate chassis and is protected by rubberized armor that gives it a secure non-slip grip even in cold and wet conditions. The optical tubes are nitrogen filled and O-ring sealed to be waterproof and resistant to internal fogging when moving through extreme temperature variations and environmental conditions. A one-piece ocular rainguard covers the eyecups as the binocular hangs around the neck and prevents rain and spraying water from filling them, and it attaches to the included neck strap to prevent it from being lost on the forest floor.Optical Performance High 10x magnification enables detailed observations of distant subjects like animals, athletes, and architectural details42mm objective lenses deliver the light-gathering capability required for extended use during the pre-dawn and late dusk hoursRoof prism light path produces a compact form factor without sacrificing performanceAnti-reflection fully multi-coated optics improve light transmission, color rendition, clarity, and contrastPhase-correcting prism coatings eliminate internal light diffraction to improve clarity and contrastWide 60 apparent angle of view reduces the appearance of the distracting hand shake often associated with high-power optics to present the user with a more immersive experience344-foot field of view at 1000 yardsUse and Handling Closed-bridge configuration provides a solid and stable platform for the internal focusing mechanismLarge rubber-coated center focusing wheel is easy to manipulate, even in cold and wet conditions or when wearing gloves58.5-72mm interpupillary distance adjustment range enables easy use by people of all sizesRight-eye dioptric correction allows the user to fine-tune the focusing to their individual eyesight even if they wear corrective lensesIntegrated 1/4"-20 threaded adapter socket on front of bridge hinge allows the optic to be tripod mounted with an optional adapterTwist-up multi-position rubber eyecups for comfortable use and correct eye relief, with or without eyewearComfortable 15.5mm eye relief reduces eyestrain and improves overall viewing comfort4.2mm exit pupil will cover most pupils as they open and dilate in low lightConstruction Details Lightweight and durable polycarbonate chassis reduces weight without sacrificing strength and stabilityChassis material is temperature resistant, preventing the expansion and contraction that is common with metal, which can cause the optical components to move out of alignment over time and prevent sharp focusNitrogen filled and O-ring sealed to be waterproof and resistant to internal fogging when moving through extreme temperature changes or environmental conditionsProtective rubber armor provides a slip-resistant gripOil-resistant KR exterior lens coatings make it easy for dirt, sap, and oil to be easily cleaned off without smudges or residueOne-piece tethered ocular rainguard protects eyecups from water pooling in them from rain or spraying water when hanging from the neck23.6-ounce weight
