It is equipped with 24 x 2.5" U.2 drive bays, sixteen of which support PCIe 4.0 x4 SSDs and eight of which support PCIe 4.0 x4 / SATA III 6 Gb/s SSDs. There are also two M.2 2280 slots, one of which supports PCIe 3.0 x4 and SATA III, while the other supports PCIe 3.0 x2 and SATA III. These M.2 slots may be used for SSD caching, an SSD storage pool, an SSD system drive, or for ZIL power failure protection. Rounding things out is 512GB of DDR4 ECC Registered RAM, which comes in a 16 x 32GB configuration and may be upgraded to 1TB.The TDS-h2489FU R2 has two 25GbE SFP28 ports and four 2.5GbE RJ45 ports with the option for a 10GbE upgrade.
