TG12411 (FOMERLY TG CHANNEL MKII)

Chandler

A recreation of several classic circuits that can cover a number of bases in the studio, the TG12411 Channel from Chandler is a discrete, all-analog, rack-mounted preamp and DI box that provides the passive EQ circuitry originally found in the TG12410 Transfer Console, the mastering counterpart to the original Beatles desks. The EQ section of this mono unit is designed to deliver sweet highs and large, inductor-based lows, with a very high Q mid-section, resulting in a sound quite comparable to a Pultec or Lang program EQ.The TG12411 sports transformer-balanced XLR I/O as well as an unbalanced, high-impedance 1/4" input, which can be selected for DI functions, and selection buttons for phase reversal, +48V phantom power, mic/line input circuitry, and EQ insert. The output control is placed between the input and output stages so that you can either the trim the input signal or run the input very hot for extra color without distorting or clipping the recording device.Massive Pedigree The TG12411 has been heard on countless famous recordings, including:Barbra Streisand - Guilty PleasuresGreen Day - UNO!
