Ideal for editing suites, small control rooms, and any other situation that requires metering, deembeding, and monitoring 3G-SDI audio levels, the RTW TM3-3G Smart is a compact and affordable loudness manager which supports up to eight channels of SG-SDI level and loudness monitoring. With separate 4.3" color touchscreen and I/O interface units, this system is portable and easy to fit into any workspace.The touchscreen unit can support vertical or horizontal view and is attached to the interface box via a fixed cable. The interface unit provides 3G-SDI signal input and throughput via BNC connectors, along with an RCA stereo pair line output, a balanced DB-25 output, a 3.5mm stereo aux input, and a 3.5mm headphone output. The DB-25 port can be used to distribute up to eight channels of the 16-channel 3G-SDI deembeder as digital AES3 audio (transformer balanced). The unit also provides an RJ-12 GPIO port and a USB-B 2.0 port. Power is provided via 4-pin locking connector delivering 24 VDC. The display includes a Smart Software package, which offers loudness instruments and charts, moving coil instruments, and a timecode reader, among other useful tools for measuring loudness and correlation. The TM3-3G Smart includes a power supply.Graphical User Interface The straightforward user interface allows for quick and simple preset selection. Presets can be configured in detail using the Devicer DC1 software for Mac OS X or Windows. The Devicer s GUI lets you select, configure and position the instruments you need in a convenient way. The screen layout can be previewed at any time to see how your preset will look like on the TM3-3G Smart.Configuration with Devicer Software When it comes to configuring local presets using the Devicer DC1 software application (Windows and mac OS X compatible), the TM3-3G Smart s power and flexibility really shines. Existing presets easily can be personalized and adapted to individual needs.Furthermore, Devicer DC1 allows to create several configuration sets with different presets, which may be uploaded to TM3 Smart as required. Devicer DC1 is available for free.The Displays Besides PPM and True Peak instruments, the TM3-3G Smart features comprehensive loudness measuring features conforming to all relevant international standards (EBU R128, ITU-R BS.1770-4/1771-1, ATSC A/85, ARIB, OP-59, AGCOM, CALM Act). Loudness instruments include single-channel and summing bargraphs, loudness range, loudness chart (TP, M, S, or I value over time), and numerical displays.Moving Coil instruments display stereo signals with different scales and modes (PPM, VU, Loudness, BBC).
