QNAP

Designed to help businesses deploy data storage or virtualization environments, the TS-855X 8-Bay NAS Enclosure from QNAP enables high-speed connectivity for fast data access, backup/restoration, file server, and virtualization applications. Running the QTS operating system as standard, the TS-855X can be switched to use the ZFS-based QuTS hero operating system. With support for an extended period, this NAS is suitable for businesses requiring matching NAS models deployed in long-term projects. Powered by a 2.8 GHz Intel Atom C5125 8-Core processor, the TS-855X is driven by 8GB of DDR4 memory that can be upgraded to 128GB. It also features a 10 Gigabit Ethernet port and two 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet ports port, as well as two PCIe 3.0 x4 slots that can accommodate a 2.5/5/10GbE network card, a QM2 card, or a Fiber Channel card. The TS-855X supports JBOD and Single, as well as a variety of RAID modes, including RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50, and 60 each of which offer data redundancy, speed, or a combination of both. This 8-bay enclosure has the ability to natively house both 3.5" and 2.5" SATA III hard drives or SSDs, plus two M.2 2280 PCIe 3.0 x4 slots for enabling SSD caching, SSD storage pools, or Qtier auto-tiered storage. Using the external 5 Gb/s USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 and 480 Mb/s USB-A 2.0 ports, this QNAP NAS can be connected to other QNAP devices, as well as other external drives and accessories. The TS-855X 8-Bay NAS Enclosure operates on 100-240 VAC at 50-60 Hz using a 250W power supply and stays cool using a 90mm CPU fan and dual 80mm system fans. It includes two Ethernet cables, a power cord, 32 screws for 3.5" drives, 24 screws for 2.5" drives, two M.2 SSD heat sinks, and two drive keys. Protection is provided by a limited 3-year warranty.Ultimate 8-Core Performance with up to 128GB RAM and Intel QuickAssist Technology The TS-855X delivers exceptional 8-core performance for running multiple concurrent tasks. AES-NI encryption and Intel QuickAssist Technology (QAT) are supported to offload resource-demanding compression and improving IPsec/SSL cryptography performance. The TS-855X comes with four UDIMM DDR4 slots (8GB preinstalled) that can be upgraded to 128GB ECC RAM for higher workloads. Combining high performance, reliability, and capacity, the TS-855X is an all-round budget-friendly storage solution for diverse applications, such as file servers, high-speed storage/backup/recovery, and virtualization.Build a High-Speed 10GbE/2.5GbE Network Environment Featuring two native 2.5GbE RJ45 (2.5G/1G/100M) LAN ports and a 10GBASE-T (2.5G/1G/100M) port, the TS-855X satisfies bandwidth and reliability demanding business applications including virtualization, large file transfers, high-speed backup/restoration, and real-time applications. Combine the dual 2.5GbE ports with SMB 3.0 Multichannel for up to 5 Gb/s fault-tolerant connections. QNAP also offers numerous managed/unmanaged 2.5GbE/10GbE switches, assisting organizations in implementing high-speed, secure, and scalable network environments without going over budget.M.2 PCIe Slots for SSD Caching and Accelerated AI-Powered Image Recognition The TS-855X comes with two M.2 PCIe Gen 3 slots that allow for installing M.2 2280 NVMe SSDs (including SSD brands of Micron, Seagate, and WD) or Edge TPU (sold separately) to boost NAS performance.SSD Caching Configure SSD caching with M.2 SSDs and obtain optimal I/O and reduced latency without occupying any 3.5" drive bays.Auto Tiering Qtier technology empowers the TS-855X with auto tiering to continuously optimize storage efficiency across all installed storage devices.Faster Image Recognition with Edge TPU Coral M.2 Accelerator with Edge TPU provides an affordable solution to leverage AI acceleration for faster image recognition in your NAS applications.
