It securely stores artifacts that authenticate the platform, including passwords, certificates, or encryption keys. The TPM can also be used to store platform measurements that help to ensure that the platform remains trustworthy and hasn't been breached. Please note that TPMs install with a one-way screw and cannot be replaced, upgraded, or moved to another server.
