Boasting a payload capacity of 188 lb, the FP-188+ supports the weight of an expanded camera/prompter package including the talent-facing vanity monitor often attached to the head during HD production. Differential wheel trucks maximize floor traction to enhance shot stability performance. The pedestal recognizes compact L-shaped floor targets, which work across a wide range of floor finishes and can be incorporated into the floor design. Engineered for use in multifunctional studios, the FP-188+ can be operated in robotic or manual mode. It provides fully continuous steering capability and uses the Perfect Balance system for infinite adjustment, enabling you to dial in precisely the right amount of torque necessary to counterbalance your camera setup throughout the head's tilt range. The FP-188+ pedestal's on-shot characteristics include maximum height and floor speeds of 6 and 12" per second respectively. The electronics are housed in easy-to-access modules in the base of the pedestal, allowing for board and full pack swap out. The FP-188+ is compatible with all Vinten control systems and robotic heads.
