BOSS

Packing advanced polyphonic pitch-shifting tech into a compact form factor, the BOSS XS-1 Poly Shifter is a pitch-shifting / detuning pedal that delivers everything from faultless octave jumps to subtle detuning without sacrificing tone. Ideal for players seeking greater creative flexibility, the XS-1 offers up and down shifting for drop tunings, dramatic solos, and capo-like functionality. You can shift tuning across six octaves (three octaves up or down) or subtly adjust the tuning through seven semitones for a thick detuned tone. Detune mode provides even more depth and richness, for a chorus-like effect. Bass frequencies and polyphonic pitch shifting are both supported by the XS-1. The Balance knob allows you to adjust the wet/dry mix for the perfect guitar or bass tone. The Toggle/Moment switch allows you to select between a momentary or latching effect mode. With the CTL/EXP jack, you can connect an external footswitch for controlling up to three different tunings at once, or use an expression pedal to control your pitch shifting in real time. The XS-1 Poly Shifter includes a 9V battery.Retune Your Guitar or Bass With natural pitch shifting across a six-octave range (three up, three down), you can easily find a new tuning for creative experimentation or produce unusual tones and sounds with extremely high or low octaves. Craft harmonized solos and effects using semitone shifts, or shift up and down by whole octaves for capo or drop-tuning effects, respectively.
