The Zacuto VCT Pro Top Plate is made specifically for the VCT Pro Baseplate. It allows you to quickly adjust the camera back and forth for accurate balance. The Top Plate also fits into the VCT Pro Dock to quickly take your camera from the baseplate to a tripod or other device.
